Jaworski-Stranc exhibits prints at 13Forest Gallery, Arlington, MA

"Strata" is an exhibition of new and recent work by notable Boston-area printmakers Anne Silber, Ellen Shattuck Pierce, Marc Cote and Susan Jaworski-Stranc. Strata focuses on the versatility of printmaking, and the means by which ink can be manipulated to create infinite layers of meaning. Together the show's four artists employ stencil-based serigraphy, linoleum-block and woodblock printing to produce worlds that can be serene, humorous or meditative.

The show runs from April 15- June 12, 2010 with an opening reception on Thursday, April 15th from 7-9P.

Members visit McCoy Gallery @ Merrimack College

Several members met with David Raymond, gallery director of the McCoy Gallery @ Merrimack College today.  We discussed options for showing our print work in the Gallery in 2011.  The space is wonderful.  It is open, dynamic, well lit and has a warm feel to it.  We all look forward to future discussions. 

Indigo Artist Studio Open House

Indigo Artist Studio, featuring monotypes, mixed media, and oils by studio artists, Mary Arthur Pollak and Lillian Coolidge, will be exhibiting a collection of new contemporary, abstract landscapes. The work by these local artists each with original but complementary styles, range in size and medium from miniature to large canvas and framed original prints.
The studio/gallery is a friendly space with the artists and their tools on hand to view and visit. Wine and cheese will be served during the ArtWalk. Stop by 53 Middle St. during the Newburyport ArtWalk on Saturday, April 10! We are located just two blocks from downtown and a block away from the Tannery.
